Alamance County Democratic Party

On Thursday August 28th at 7:30 PM, the Alamance County Democratic Party will host a Convention Watch Party as Senator Barack Obama accepts the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. The Party invites all interested members of the community to watch Senator Obama's speech live from Denver on the big screen at Occasions Restaurant in downtown Burlington.

Special guests will include State Senator Tony Foriest, State Representative Alice Bordsen, and State House candidate Henry Vines. Senator Obama's acceptance speech will take place on the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s  "I Have a Dream" speech. This historic occasion will be a night to remember for all Americans.
